At-Large City Council Candidate Pat Duffy to hold Ice Cream Social/Fundraiser at Open Square

HOLYOKE - May 2, 2005

Pat Duffy, candidate for At-Large City Councilor, will kick off her campaign on Thursday, May 19, 2005, with an ice cream social at Open Square. The event, to be held on the fourth floor, runs from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The cost of this family-friendly event is $10. Children are admitted free of charge. Open Square is located at 250 Open Square Way, Holyoke MA 01040.

Organizers of this fundraiser expect about 100 supporters to turn out to informally meet with Duffy and her campaign volunteers.

"I'm eager to get on the campaign trail and talk to folks in Holyoke about their concerns," said Duffy. "I've already met with many renters and homeowners in my neighborhood who have helped me think about the issues that impact us all. I love talking to them about all that Holyoke has to offer as well as facets of the city they would like to see improved."
